Tuesday night in Tatum, KHS Varsity softball was leading 5-3.  Tatum at bat with two outs, two runners on, hit a fly to left center field.  If dropped the game would at least be tied, Kilgore McKalyn made the touch catch and Kilgore took the win 5-3.

KHS Varsity, now 5-9, heads back to Longview's Lear Park this weekend for another tournament. The first game in the tournament for Kilgore is at noon Thursday against Concordia Lutheran on field 2.  They'll also play Atlanta on field 2 at 6:30 pm Thursday.  On Friday, Kilgore plays Linden Kildare at 9 am (field 2), and Whitehouse at 11 am (field 1).  Saturday, the Lady 'Dogs face Mount Vernon again (field 2) at 1 pm, and Tatum (field 2) at 5:30 pm.

Kilgore Junior Varsity is also playing in the event.  They begin Thursday against Tatum JV (field 8) at 12:00 noon, also play Harleton Thursday at 2:30.
