Bulldogs Alive and Still Going!....Congratulations!
KHS blows out Chapel Hill, advances to 3A Division I semis for second consecutive season.
TYLER -- Rose Stadium had been a house of horrors for the Kilgore High School Bulldogs in past football seasons.
But this year, it's been home sweet home.

Kilgore thoroughly dominated District 16-3A rival Chapel Hill here on Friday night in the fourth round of the University Interscholastic League's Class 3A Division I playoffs, handing the "other" Bulldogs a 59-19 loss that was about as one-sided as the score indicates. It was Kilgore's second playoff win at Tyler this season. Kilgore is now 13-0 on the season, and moves on to the semifinals, the final four.

Due to the inclement icy weather in the Metroplex and points west, however, the Bulldogs won't know their next opponent until Monday night. Stephenville and Lubbock Cooper were to play Friday night in Abilene, but couldn't due to the weather. The game has been rescheduled for Monday.

In all liklihood, that means Kilgore won't play again until Saturday, against the Stephenville-Cooper winner. Stephenville defeated Kilgore in the semifinals last year, then beat El Campo in the state championship game.
