MLMS Tennis team goes undefeated 10-0 for the season, winning District 16-3A championship at Spring Hill, Great Job!  "GO DOGS"
The team of seventh and eighth graders, coached by Dana Sneed, won 269 out of 302 individual matches, an 89 percent win ratio.  The boys won 84 percent of their matches, the girls an astounding 95 percent.Their opposition included Nacogdoches, Jacksonville, two teams from Marchall, Lindale, Bullard, Grace Commuinty (Tyler), White Oak, Whitehouse and Tyler-Moore Magnate School.  MLMS also competed in tournaments on the road at Wills Point, Jacksonville, Nacogodoches and Longview.
Mr. Sneed stated that this year's group of athletes have been the most dedicated I have ever worked with. Many spending hours after school practicing on their own and many days at the MLMS tennis courts till 5 or 6 o'clock in the evening. They are very coachable, mannerly and pleasant to work with. Talking tennis in the hallways, encouraging each other and doing what is asked without complaining, basically a coach's dream in every respect.
Over the last four years, MLMS has a 52-1 record. Several alltime and individual records have been set.
