Lineman's Rodeo-Kilgore College Electric Power Technology Event, Henderson Texas
Seniors: Are you interested in working for the Electrical Power Company?  COME CHECK IT OUT!  May 10th, 10:00am - 1:00pm.
Students interested can attend this event which will feature demonstrations of hands-on skills learned by students who will complete the Kilgore College 10 week course of study.  It is an exciting morning for KC students and those on the gound who watch them perform daring tasks at the top of a 40 foot pole!
For high school graduates who are not ready to pursue the academic route, the Electric Power Technology Certificate offers a college alternative which can result in a lineworker career with a potential beginning salary of $11-$20 per hour.  Students who complete the KC Electric Power Technology Certificate have skills which are accepted by power companies and cooperatives anywhere in the United States.  The opportunities are boundless for those who enjoy working as a team in an outdoor environment.
Students interested in attending this event contact your counselor, CTE Coordinator Jenny Baggett or Coach Steve Toon by May 3.
