The bragging rights in District 16-3A — and the district’s fall team tennis championship — are home right here at Kilgore High School.

The Bulldogs beat previously-undefeated Spring Hill on Thursday, claiming the 16- 3A title. Kilgore was also unbeaten in district going into Thursday’s matchup with the Panthers.

The Bulldogs finished the district schedule 4-0, and KHS had a team win-loss record of 81-5 in those four district matches.

Kilgore will take a weekend break, then play in Tyler against All-Saints on Tuesday as a regional warm-up match. The Bulldogs go to Rockwall for the UIL Class 3A Region II tournament on Saturday, Nov. 2.
