Coleman's Bulldogs are doing him proud, and although they're young, Kilgore keeps coming out looking like the playoff-tested team. It happened again Friday night at Wills Point, as Kilgore held off Paris, 52-50, to advance to the third round of the UIL Class 3A playoffs.

Against Paris on Friday, the Bulldogs trailed 20-16 at halftime, again trailed by two as the fourth quarter started, and then got a three-pointer from sophomore Trey Conrid with just over three minutes left to grab the lead for the final time.

Conrod finished with 22 points and also had 11 rebounds. Another pair of sophomores, Xaviar Gaona and Nick Orange, finished with 10 and eight points, respectively.

Kilgore faces Liberty-Eylau Tuesday night at 7 at Pine Tree High School in Longview.
