Kilgore was been scheduled to face Diboll in the PT tournament Thursday morning, but a thunderstorm forced the game to be postponed.  The coaches agreed to play the game here at Driller Park Thursday night. KHS lost the game, 6- 1.

KHS bounced back on Friday, at Pine Tree’s Field as the tournament resumed. Kilgore beat Mount Pleasant, 9-1, in the first game of the day — that’s the first win for coach Charles Foshee as head coach
The Diamond ’Dogs followed that up with a 4-0 win over Little Cypress- Mauriceville

Kilgore will be off until Thursday —  when the annual Oil Belt Classic tournament begins.

Driller Park is the primary site for the event, with a few games being played at Longview High.

The tournament begins Thursday at Driller with Diboll facing Rusk at 9 a.m. There are six games at Driller that day — KHS will face Central Heights at 1:10 p.m. in game three, and they’ll play Center at 5:20. The tournament continues Friday and Saturday.
