Family, friends, coaches and proud parents were in attendance at Kilgore High School Wednesday morning for the National Signing Day, where several KHS athletes gathered for a day they will remember forever.
Kilgore High School athletic director Mike Wood introduced several KHS athletes who signed letters of intent with college programs on Wednesday:
Ladarrin Anthony (Football) - Kilgore College
Lanie Bennett (Soccer) - Letter of intent to Angelo State University in San Angelo,
Jake Brantley (Football) - Letter of intent to Hendrix State in Conway, Arkansas
Tony Burks (Track) - Signed with University of Houston,
Aaron Foy (Football) - Signed with Navaro College
DaQuellan Scott (Football) - Signed with Henderson State University, Arkansas
Clay Wiley (Football) - Signed with Northwestern State, Nacitoches,LA
Benny Colbert (Football) - Is expected to sign a letter of intent with Texas A & M-Commerce
“It’s a great day for Kilgore High School to be sending this many student athletes to the next level,” said Wood, in his fourth school year now as AD/head football coach. “These kids have done a great job representing Kilgore High School and this town. They’ve done things the right way in the classroom, the hallways and the community.”
