What:  GLOBE College Night

When: 10/28/2013, 6:30 PM8:30 PM

Where:  Maude Cobb Convention & Activity Center
The 2013 College Night sponsored by the Greater Longview Organization for Business and Education (GLOBE) is set for Monday, October 28, 2013, from 6:30-8:30 PM at Maude Cobb Convention and Activity Center, 100 Grand Boulevard, Longview.

Students may pre-register online for College Night and bring their information to the fair in the form of a barcode which colleges can capture with a scanner. Registration is free.

Prior to October 28, students can register at www.gotocollegefairs.com/texas. Students will then provide their contact information, major areas of interest, etc., submit the registration, and print the barcode or capture it on the phones. When students stop at a college table, the college representative will scan the barcode to obtain the information. This is much faster than the traditional "stand at the table and fill out an information card." it is not required for students or universities to use the scanner technology, but it will make the college information request process easier.

College Night is a great opportunity for students grades 9-12 to explore two year and four year college and university opportunities, technical/vocational school opportunities, and military service.
