KHS sweeps Carthage; boys claim district for fifth consecutive year

Kilgore High School’s boys soccer team clinched their fifth straight district championship Friday night with a 7-0 shutout of Carthage here at R.E. St. John Memorial Stadium. The Bulldogs, who have been to a state championship game and multi regional tournaments in that run, have won every district soccer title this decade.

The Lady Bulldogs, who honored seniors Lanie Bennett, Nichole Flores and Liz Stegall before their game against Carthage, also won big, a 5-0 victory,  although their exact first-round playoff situation is not yet certain, nor is it for the Bulldogs

Kilgore Lady Bulldogs are now 12-5-3 in 2014, and 7-4 in district play, coached by Amanda Farmer.

The Bulldogs are now 15-2-1 in 2014,  and 10-1 in district, coached by Aaron Erickson.
